Jeanette Hammock, CEO, Co-Founder
Jeanette has focused for the past 12 years on software architecture and implementation for large-scale Internet systems deployment. She has more than 18 years of education software engineering design and implementation experience. As TNL’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeanette draws upon her extensive career in education: integration experience from Campus Pipeline and application experience from Utah Education Network.
At Campus Pipeline, Jeanette was Chief Architect, designing and implementing higher education portal systems focusing on institution system aggregation and building online communities. As Director of Product Architecture at Utah Education Network (UEN), Jeanette formed and led a programming team to design and implement an Internet education system to enable curriculum integration of the web into all K-12 classrooms in Utah. Jeanette holds a B.S .in Computer Science, from the University of Utah.
Jeanette was recognized in August 2006 with U.S. Patent #7093020, awarded for co-authoring the patent: “Methods and systems for coordinating sessions on one or more systems,” recognizing their technical innovation in secure, web-based designs which enables transparent coordination of systems to interoperate via the Internet.
Dan Cookson, Chief Development Officer, Co-Founder
Dan was a founding member of three companies, including Truenorthlogic, and has more than 14 years of experience in information technology – telecommunication networks, system administration, architecture and customer relationship management.
Before forming TNL, Dan co-founded AutoWrite, and was the Network Operations Manager at Utah Education Network (UEN). Created by Utah’s Governor, UEN’s mission was to connect all Utah schools to the Internet and give students a technologically advanced education. Dan holds a B.S. in Engineering, and MBA from the University of Utah.
Kathy Lee, Executive Vice President
Kathy Lee, a prominent education industry executive, joined Truenorthlogic as Executive Vice President in April 2009. She manages sales and marketing and is developing strategies to accelerate company growth.
Before Truenorthlogic, Kathy served as the General Manager for the Education Practice at SAS (the world’s largest privately owned software company), where she led a newly formed business unit providing analytics and curriculum solutions to K12 and Higher Education to revenue of $35 million.
Kathy began her career at IBM in sales where she found her passion for K12 Education. Kathy is often sought out by state education leaders, governors and district leaders for strategies on bringing the effective use of technology into education. She is a graduate of Albion College.
Eric Jensen, Chief Technology Officer
Eric has played a pivotal role in the growth of Truenorthlogic and the development of its products. In his position as Chief Technology Officer, Eric leads the current and future development of all Truenorthlogic products.
Prior to joining Truenorthlogic, Eric worked as a consultant with Automated Assessment Associates, Lync.net, Volt and University of Utah. Eric earned B.S and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Utah.
Mitchell Haber, Advisor and Member of Board of Directors
Mitch has been involved with the K-12 market for 21 years as an executive, advisor, and investor focused on high growth opportunities and has been an advisor to TNL since August 2006. For 11 years with Simon & Schuster, he held various senior positions as S&S became the world’s largest educational publisher. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, he completed 39 acquisitions totaling over $1 billion. As Executive Vice President of the International Group, he initiated strategic alliances with companies in Asia, Latin America, and Europe for S & S’s educational technology products. Mr. Haber has also served as a principal at Veronis Suhler Stevenson’s $1 billion buyout fund, VS&A Communications Partners III. He received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his J.D. and M.B.A. from The University of Michigan.
Pierre Haren, CEO iLog (an IBM company), Advisor Board of Directors
A leading figure in the European technology community, Pierre Haren was chairman and chief executive officer of ILOG until it was purchased by IBM in November of 2008. Haren co-founded ILOG in 1987, and after seeing quick growth in Europe, launched fully owned subsidiaries in Singapore, the United States and Japan. He took ILOG public on NASDAQ in 1997, and on Le Nouveau Marché, now Euronext, in 1998. Haren is a board member of ENPC, the graduate school for civil engineers.
He is a founding member of the Académie des Technologies and was awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur medal, one of France’s highest honors. He is also a member of the International Council of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a member of the Visiting Committee of the Civil Engineering Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Haren earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at L’Ecole Polytechnique, a master’s degree in engineering at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and a doctorate in civil engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
